Saturday, October 18 at 10am: Celebration of the progress at the lower Smith Farm hosted by the town of Mars Hill. Public is invited to attend for a brief presentation at 885 Forest Street– the Bailey Mountain Preserve.

NOVEMBER

Monday, November 10 from 10am- 11:30am: ABA Annual Meeting at Bear River Lodge, 189 River Lodge Trail near Hot Springs. We invite all of you to join us for coffee and pastries beginning at 10am with a brief talk about the year and our plans for the future. All are welcome to attend. ANNUALLY

Barn Day (Tour & Lunch): In 2025, the ABA will sponsored a special tour of the five historic barns on the Smith Farm at the Bailey Mountain Preserve just 5 minutes from downtwon Mars Hill led by researcher Taylor Barnhill. Participants will also be treated to lunch and local music. The 2025 date is September 6th. We have a special preview of the Smith Farm planned. Click HERE for details.

Pastoral Palette Art Gala: Partnering with the artists of The Saints of Paint in Asheville, the ABA hosts a Friday evening Gala with light food and wine while participants browse and buy paintings of rural landscapes. Wonderful art combined with delicious food and drink makes for an truly enjoyable evening! 2025 date will be Friday, May 30 (and open to the public date will be Saturday, May 31)
