Saturday, October 8 from 10am to 4pm: Visit our booth at the Bascom Lamar Lunsford Festival at the Quad on the Mars Hill University campus. Learn about our latest progress on the Smith Farmstead, chat with our researcher, and purchase raffle tickets for a hand-crafted quilt. Drawing for the quilt will be at 3pm that day.

Thursday, November 3 from 5pm to 7pm: Opening night for “Saints of Paint — Unearthed” Exhibit at the Mars Landing Galleries, 37 Library Street in Mars Hill. Watch for Details.
Friday, November 4 from 5pm to 8pm: ” The Saints of Paint– Unearthed” Exhibit continues during Mars Hill First Friday at the Mars Landing Galleries. Percentage of the sale of their art will benefit the ABA. Exhibit and sales percentages continues through December 31.
Wednesday, November 9 from 10am to 11am: Our ABA Annual Thank You to our friends. This year we will be at Mars Landing Galleries, 37 Library Street in Mars Hill. Coffee, pastries, and fruit. You will have the opportunity to browse the gallery which includes the continuation of ” The Saints of Paint– Unearthed” Exhibit. A very brief presentation about our 2022 successes and 2023 plans will be at 10:30am. All are welcome to drop by. No RSVP needed.
Friday, November 4 & 5: Photography Workshop with Bonnie Cooper. Friday from 3:30pm to 6pm for an intro and Saturday (beginning at 7:30am) all day visiting barns and farmsteads with Bonnie’s photo expertise and Taylor Barnhill’s tour and stories about those barns. Barn Day (Tour & Dinner): Since 2014, the ABA has sponsored a guided 3-hour tour of historic barns led by researcher Taylor Barnhill. After the tour, participants are treated to a dinner and local music at a rustic location. In 2022, planned for Saturday, September 3.
Pastoral Palette Art Gala: Partnering with the artists of The Saints of Paint in Asheville, the ABA hosts a Friday evening Gala with light food and wine while participants browse and buy paintings of rural landscapes. Wonderful art combined with delicious food and drink makes for an truly enjoyable evening! In 2022, it will be on June 3 & 4. Details Here.
