ANNUALLY

Barn Day (Tour & Lunch): In 2026, the ABA will sponsored a special tour of the five historic barns on the Smith Farm at the Bailey Mountain Preserve just 5 minutes from downtown Mars Hill led by researcher Taylor Barnhill. Participants will also be treated to lunch, local music and a great silent auction. The 2026 date was on Saturday, September 5 with a special preview of the Smith Farm planned. Pastoral Palette Art Gala: Partnering with the artists of The Saints of Paint in Asheville, the ABA hosts a Friday evening Gala with light food and wine while participants browse and buy paintings of rural landscapes. Wonderful art combined with delicious food and drink makes for an truly enjoyable evening! 2026 date was on Friday, May 22 (and open to the public date will be Saturday, May 23).
