Friday, October 29 at 11am: At the Smith Farm on the Bailey Mountain Preserve, 885 Forest Street just minutes from downtown Mars Hill. Join us as we unveil descriptive signs at each of the barns. We are celebrating receiving grants from the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area Partnership and the Madison County Community Foundation to make this possible. The public is invited to a short program. Tuesday, November 9 at 10am: Our Annual Meeting at Bear River Lodge, 189 Bear River Lodge Trail (just 20 minutes from Marshall and about 5 minutes from Hot Springs).  All are invited to attend so just let us know of your interest and we will provide directions to the location.  Coffee, juice, muffins, fruit, hot breakfast casserole AND a quick program and casual social time. Barn Day (Tour & Dinner): Since 2014, the ABA has sponsored a guided 3-hour tour of historic barns led by researcher/ historian Taylor Barnhill. After the tour, participants are treated to a dinner and local music at a rustic location.

Pastoral Palette Art Gala: Partnering with the artists of The Saints of Paint in Asheville, the ABA hosts a Friday evening Gala with light food and wine while participants browse and buy paintings of rural landscapes. Wonderful art combined with delicious food and drink makes for an truly enjoyable evening!
