Friday, May 30 from 5:30pm – 8pm: 5th Annual Pastoral Palette Art Benefit Gala (casual dress) at the Ivy Building at 10 Genevieve Circle just off Victoria Road on the A-B Tech Asheville campus. Ticketed event on Friday evening which includes samplings of finger foods, complimentary wine & beer, music by David Hughes, and the opportunity to mingle with the artists who offer their paintings for sale (50% will benefit the ABA & 50% helps the artists in their recovery from Hurricane Helene). Saturday, June 14 from 10am – 4pm: Visit our booth at the Bluff Mountain Festival on the grounds of the Hot Springs Resort and Spa on Bridge Street in Hot Springs. The Festival is free.

Friday, June 20 late afternoon & Saturday, June 21 all day: Barn Photography Workshop. Introduction at 4pm on Friday at the Mars Hill town library. Next day will be out “in the field” taking photos of various Madison County Barns. Details in late May. Information at 828 380-9146.

ANNUALLY

Barn Day (Tour & Dinner): Since 2014, the ABA has sponsored a guided 3-hour tour of historic barns led by researcher Taylor Barnhill. After the tour, participants are treated to a dinner and local music at a rustic location. 2025 date will be September 27th.We have a special preview of the Smith Farm planned. Pastoral Palette Art Gala: Partnering with the artists of The Saints of Paint in Asheville, the ABA hosts a Friday evening Gala with light food and wine while participants browse and buy paintings of rural landscapes. Wonderful art combined with delicious food and drink makes for an truly enjoyable evening! 2025 date will be Friday, May 30 (and open to the public date will be Saturday, May 31) Click HERE for details.
