The Appalachian Barn Alliance is pleased to announce an exhibit entitled “SAINTS OF PAINT — Unearthed” which opens Thursday, November 3 from 5pm to 7pm at Mars Landing Galleries (https://marslandinggalleries.com/) in downtown Mars Hill. Our old artist friends from the Saints of Paint have added a few new faces to those who offer works for sale.  And, our new friend Miryam Rojas (who owns the gallery) is graciously donating 20% of the art sold to benefit the Appalachian Barn Alliance. (Note that she is also sharing a portion with a fellow Madison County non-profit organization SART). Miryam has selected 50 paintings (a sampling is below) from these 9 artists so that you can take home the painting you choose on the day you buy it.  It will then be replaced with a painting from the overflow supply and give a fresh look to the exhibit which runs through December 31.

Artists who are participating are listed on the poster above. You will recognize some of the names from our previous Art Gala events as well as some new ones. Not only will you have the opportunity to mingle with the artists and the ABA Board members on this opening day, but we have several other chances to see the exhibit outside of regular business hours:

  • First Friday– November 4 from 5pm to 8pm in downtown Mars Hill & the gallery is a participant
  • ABA’s Annual Thank You– Wednesday, November 9 from 10am to 11am, also at the Gallery
  • First Friday — December 1 from 5pm to 8pm in downtown Mars Hill & the gallery is a participant

Additionally, Mars Landing Galleries is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11am to 5pm each week. Come see this beautiful location at 37 Library Street, Mars Hill.
